After 4 years of research, HTE has developed the BFC technology for managing gas supply (Boosted Fuel Cell, PCT patent extended to Europe, USA, Brazil, China). BFC allows to increase the performance of PEM cells by decreasing short-circuit currents inside the cell, with an efficiency of conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy of 92% and with 90% reduction of the catalyst load needed.
HTE has developed an innovative electrolytic process which, altering the operating conditions, is capable of producing high purity micro-metric powders with a globular and dendritic homogeneous grain size. Moreover, such process allows to apply the stabilizer during the production phase, avoiding the creation of the oxidized layer on the surface.
Given the technical advantages deriving from the electro dialysis, HTE has developed a new system with passive ion pump able to operate as an electro dialysis cell, without the need for electrical power. The SMIT system can be powered by a hybrid, by means of electricity or reformed hydrocarbons.
EPACH (Electrolytic Proton Assisted Celluloid Hydrolysis) is an innovative technology, both efficient and sustainable, which allows the hydrolysis of the cellulose assisted by electrolytic protons, capable of synthesizing the sugars from non-edible or waste ligno-cellulosic organic components, for the production of a second generation ethanol that could be used as biofuels.
